Supermarket chain Delhaize is recalling its Red Onion Lettuce (200g packet) due to erroneous expiry dates.
The Delhaize-branded product, bearing EAN code 5400119586429, was sold between 23 and 27 May 2024, but was mistakenly marked with an expiry date of 29 June 2024, instead of 29 May 2024.
Customers who have purchased this product are advised not to consume it. They may return the product to the point of purchase for a full refund, the company said in a statement.
It also clarified that only this product is affected. All other items in the same range can be consumed safely.
