Two 17-year-old teenagers were seriously injured in a knife attack on Friday evening outside Leuven’s train station on Martelarenplein.
The victims, from Herent and Wijgmaal, were swiftly transported to hospital, with one’s life currently in danger.
The exact circumstances surrounding the assault remain unclear. According to the prosecutor’s office, several suspects managed to escape and are yet to be identified.
The area around the station was cordoned off, and a forensic team was dispatched to the location.
Close-by surveillance camera footage will be scrutinised, and a forensic doctor will examine the two victims.
