A 54-year-old woman was found dead on Monday in a flat on Tenderstraat, Mechelen, according to information confirmed by the Antwerp Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Indications are that the woman suffered a violent death, and the prosecutor’s office has arranged for an investigative judge to look into allegations of murder.
In the meantime, the forensic pathologist and criminal police laboratory have been called to the scene to carry out their standard procedures.
