Delhaize recalls own brand whole chicken for salmonella contamination

The Delhaize supermarket chain is recalling a whole chicken product on Wednesday due to possible contamination with Typhimurium monof salmonella.

The chain is asking its customers not to consume the product and to return it to the shop, where it will be refunded.

The item in question was sold between 7 and 13 November and has expiry dates of 14 and 15/11/2024. The product's EAN code is 2223240000000. They are referred to as Poule a bouillir (French) and soepkip (Dutch).

The other products in the same range are not affected and can therefore be consumed safely, Delhaize assures.
