Temperature expected to drop to -12 tonight

The temperature in Belgium is expected to drop to -12 degrees Celsius tonight, and some snow could accompany it, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI).

The weather will be dry on Wednesday, with occasional clear skies but also clouds, the RMI said.

Maximum temperatures will remail negative, with values ranging from -6 in the High Fens (Hautes Fagnes) to -1 degree in the westernmost part of the country.

Tonight, the sky will be partly to sometimes very cloudy, with a snow shower possible in some places as the temperature drops below -10.

Thursday will also remain dry and generally sunny, with maximum temperatures between -4 in the High Fens and 0 degrees in the west.

Friday is expected to be similar to Thursday in terms of weather and temperature, while it should get warmer during the weekend.
