Palestinian comedian Ahmed Tobasi was one of the star guests at the Street Arts Festival (FAR) in Huy, in the province of Liège, as reported by the Belga news agency on Sunday.
This weekend marked the ninth edition of the FAR in Huy, the second time it has spanned two days.
Festival director Olivier Minet stated on Sunday afternoon that the event featured 80 artists, 33 companies, and 90 performances, attracting an estimated crowd of 15,000 to 20,000 people. The sun shone brightly, the performances were of high quality, and the audience was delighted.

Twelve venues across the city hosted performances, including the new Batta Esplanade on the left bank, the Grand-Place, Place Verte, the old town, and various schools.
The Palestinian artist Ahmed Tobasi performed to a full house at the Saint-Mengold Church. His one-man show depicted his journey from his childhood in the Jenin refugee camp to his resistance as an artist on theatre stages.
“As a public space art festival, FAR is about quality, but also about provoking thought and challenging norms. Ahmed Tobasi speaks of his story, offering a strong political commitment without judgement or moralising—a sharing of life and experience,” added Olivier Minet.
The next edition of FAR is already scheduled for 18 and 19 April 2026. Minet concluded by emphasising the need for public support to continue offering high-quality and free performances.
