From 11 to 18 May, the Belgian Museum Week will be celebrated with numerous museums hosting special activities to offer visitors an exceptional experience.

Guided tours, picnics, evening openings, workshops, concerts, and, of course, fantastic parties are on the agenda as Belgian museums open their doors "wider than ever" from 11 to 18 May, according to the event’s organisers.

Whether you’re a museum enthusiast or an occasional visitor, this week offers a chance to discover the diversity and enjoyment Belgian museums provide. Everyone is welcome, including both adults and children.

Visitors also have the opportunity to vote for the ‘Museum Piece of the Year’.

Among the nominees are the Sound Cell from C-mine Expedition in Genk and Peter Paul Rubens’ self-portrait at the Rubens House in Antwerp.
