Officers were about seventy meters away from where the shots were fired. The suspects were using a black Volkswagen ID.3, which was later found on Rue du Berceau in Brussels.

Prosecutor’s spokesperson Willemien Baert stated: “The investigation identified the vehicle involved, which was stolen the evening before in Auderghem. Two suspects were charged with stealing the vehicle. One was released under conditions, while the other was detained under an arrest warrant for alleged involvement in criminal activities with intent to commit murder.”

Investigators also identified the suspects allegedly in the vehicle, including the supposed shooter.

“The alleged driver, a minor, has been placed in a secure juvenile facility. The passenger, suspected of killing the victim, is charged with murder and forming a criminal association with intent to murder, and has been detained under an arrest warrant.”
