The Minister of Sports for the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Jacqueline Galant, has approved payment files for high-level programmes of 41 French-speaking federations, as reported by Le Soir on Saturday.
Under increasing pressure on this issue, with questions from various quarters, the minister informed Adeps that she has settled the arbitration issues of the sports federations’ files regarding high-level programme plans, ongoing for months, allowing the payment procedure to commence.
However, payments will only start in a little over a month, even under the most optimistic forecasts, as the process requires financial inspection and a decree must be drafted and validated by the FWB government before settling payments totalling €12,436,050—€10,000 less than in 2024.
