A 25-year-old man was severely injured in a stabbing attack on Friday night in the Luchtbal neighbourhood of Antwerp.
The victim was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Police have arrested a 55-year-old suspect.
The altercation occurred around 19:45 in the hallway of an apartment building on Hondurasstraat, Antwerp. “The 25-year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds,” stated local police spokesperson Kim Bastiaens. The victim was in a life-threatening condition when transported to the hospital but is now out of danger.
The police suspect arrested is 55 years old. “The events are believed to be related to a neighbourhood conflict,” added Bastiaens.
