The Zinneke Association, which organises the biennial Zinneke Parade in Brussels, will celebrate its 25th anniversary this Sunday at Place Masui, their location in the capital. Festivities will run from 10:00 to 22:00, featuring activities, concerts, and workshops in the spirit of the vibrant parade that brings colour to Brussels every two years.

While the next Zinneke Parade is scheduled for 30 May 2026, the association did not want to miss marking 25 May 2025 for its 25th anniversary.

This Sunday, instead of a parade, a grand celebration will be held around Place Masui, on the border of Schaerbeek and Brussels, where the organisation has been based since 2013. The association describes the day as a “friendly gathering to celebrate our journey and envision the future of Zinneke.”

Starting at 10:00, visitors can enjoy free workshops on cooking, crafting, arts, and “necessary dreaming,” reflecting the parade’s folkloric and surreal essence.

Numerous partner associations and artists will provide animations, artistic performances, and concerts, including acts by the Pixelbeek Band, the Brussels Bayou Orchestra, and the New Brussels Accordion Harmony. A small exhibition on Zinneke’s history will also be on display.

The 14th Zinneke Parade edition, uniting residents, schools, associations, and artists in a socio-artistic project known as “Zinodes,” will revolve around the theme “Dream.”
