A 21 year old man from Liège has been charged for raping four teenage girls.
Four girls, aged 13, 14, 15 and 21, had reported rape by the accused in the context of violent relationships.
The accused had posed as a 17-year-old man on social networks, targeting very young girls and convincing them to enter into a romantic relationship.
These relationships then took a violent turn, with the accused forcing violent sexual relations and committing acts of assault. He created a climate of domination over the young women, who thought they were living a great love story.
One of them ran away from home, while another became pregnant at the age of 15. Three of the four victims were under the age of consent.
The public prosecutor underlined the high level of psychopathy detected in the defendant by an expert, and on Friday the prosecutor requested the accused be given a six-year prison sentence.
The final verdict will be handed on June 27.
