Bpostgroup has unveiled its #Reshape2029 strategy, aiming to transform by 2029 from a postal operator with logistics capabilities into a regional and digital logistics expert, while continuing to offer postal services.

Belgium's public postal service has been involved in e-commerce and logistics for nearly a decade. Chief Executive Officer Chris Peeters stated that the company plans to accelerate its transformation to place parcel logistics at the centre of its operations.

The company has restructured into three business units: BeNe Last-Mile, 3PL, and Global Cross-border. It also recently acquired the French logistics firm Staci.

For the BeNe Last-Mile operations, Bpostgroup aims to enhance operational efficiency by shifting from a mail-oriented model to a parcel-oriented one, optimising asset usage and staffing, and revising delivery routes. Specific outcomes of this shift have yet to be disclosed.

Financial targets have been set, including an anticipated turnover exceeding €5 billion by 2027 and EBIT expected to surpass €275 million in the same year, with growth accelerating from 2026. The 2025 EBIT target remains at €150 to €180 million, with trends suggesting a lower exposure to the bottom of this range.

Bpostgroup plans to invest between €160 and €180 million annually in capital expenditures, aims to reduce its debt, and proposes a dividend policy distributing 30 to 50% of its net IFRS profit.

Investor response appears positive, with the share price surging over 12% to above €2, reaching €2.12, at around 9:30 a.m. on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
