Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer NIO announced on Tuesday its plans to enter seven more European markets, including Belgium.
The company unveiled it plans to put its e-vehicles on sale in more European countries through partnerships with local dealerships.
In Belgium and Luxembourg, NIO will collaborate with Swedish company Hedin Mobility Group to promote its models.
Additionally, NIO aims to expand into Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Romania by either this year or 2026.
The company will sell its vehicles under two brands: NIO and Firefly, the latter being its compact electric city car.
NIO’s models are already available in several European countries, such as Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark.
