A unique event took place on Saturday at the Kattendijkdok in Antwerp: the Pink Duck Race, where 20,000 pink plastic ducks competed in a race organised by Think Pink to raise breast cancer awareness.

The event was launched at 13:30 by Think Pink’s founder, Heidi Vansevenant, along with Prime Minister Bart De Wever and Flemish Minister Annick De Ridder, with the finish line reached in just ten minutes, aided by strong winds.

Each duck could be adopted for €5, marked with a unique number, and the owner of the winning duck received a gold model encrusted with small diamonds.

The event raised €100,000, which will support Think Pink’s campaigns to combat breast cancer, raise awareness, and improve the lives of patients and their families. After the race, all 20,000 ducks were collected and will be reused in future Pink Duck Races.
