An investigation was launched following the discovery of a dead body in a house in Zottegem, in East Flanders.
The body of a woman was found on Tuesday morning in a house on Ter Heiden Street in Erwetegem, a suburb of Zottegem.
According to local police, the death is suspicious. The woman's ex-partner is suspected of killing her with a knife. However, the East Flanders Public Prosecutor's Office did not confirm any details of the case.
According to initial findings, the woman died a violent death.
