A car plunged into the water near the Lanaye dam in Visé, Liège province, on Saturday afternoon, trapping one person for 40 minutes, according to the Liège fire department.
The incident occurred around 13:00 for reasons yet to be determined. One occupant managed to escape, while a second was trapped for 40 minutes, rescue teams reported.
The person who escaped is in good health. However, no further information is available about the condition of the individual who remained trapped.
