In a tragic accident in the northern Dutch province of Flevoland, two teenagers died and three others were seriously injured when their car veered off the road and into the water in the village of Rutten.
The victims, aged 18 and 19, were pronounced dead at the scene. The three other passengers have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who saw the car that night to come forward.
