The lifeless body of a newborn baby was discovered on Sunday in the garden of a house in Charleroi, the city’s Public Prosecutor’s Office, OPP, confirmed on Monday evening, corroborating a report published by Sudinfo.
According to Sudinfo, the baby had been dead for a year.
The Charleroi OPP and an investigating judge visited the scene.
When contacted on Monday evening, the judicial authorities confirmed the information without giving further details. A case has been opened and the investigation is aimed at determining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
