Belgium's federal police updated their Most Wanted list on Thursday. It contains the names and photos of serious criminals who are wanted by the police. Some people have aging photos.

The police added three new names to the list on Thursday: Vladimir Cheremet, Jeton Begesi and Dmitriy Teretchenko. The latter is a Russian criminal who was interned for a murder in 2011. In February 2024, he left the psychiatric institution in Brussels.

The police warn that he poses a "danger to the physical integrity of third parties" and ask people not to "approach the man yourself but to immediately notify the police services". He may have returned to his home country.

Cheremet is also wanted for murder. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison for this in 2007 by the Assize Court. Begesi was convicted of kidnapping, hostage-taking and rape.

Some criminals on the list are also on Europol's European Most Wanted list. One of them is Wilhelmus "Wim" Beckmann, who is wanted for murder and arson. He murdered his girlfriend in 2008 and then staged a violent robbery. Beckmann was convicted of this in 2024 by the Antwerp Assize Court, but has been on the run for a long time.

Last month, the police were able to arrest Andy De Wolf, a sex offender who had been on the list since May, in Grobbendonk, thanks to tips from the population.
