On Tuesday morning, customs officials found 222 kilograms of cocaine in a container in the port of Antwerp, according to the Ministry of Finance. The container contained a deck load of rice and had come from Argentina.
The discovery was made at quay 1333. This is the second major cocaine seizure in the port area in as many days. On Monday, more than 1.1 tonnes of drugs were found, also in a deck cargo of rice originating from Guyana.
