Taxpayers who opted for online tax filing must submit their returns by Tuesday, 15 July, whereas those who preferred paper submissions had until 30 June.
This deadline applies to citizens without specific taxes, those wishing to amend the simplified tax proposal, or those modifying an already submitted online declaration.
Last year, two million Belgians filed their tax returns online. This year, the number is nearing 1.5 million, according to figures from the tax authorities.
Citizens with specific income types have until 16 October to file their taxes.
