A 31-year-old man was sentenced to two years in prison by the Antwerp Correctional Court on Tuesday for cannabis trafficking, along with three others found guilty.

In late 2018, police monitored the home of Yassin B., known as “Favela,” in Borgerhout, following reports of cannabis trafficking.

Officers observed Mohamed K., 27, entering the house and later leaving with a white bag. Meanwhile, Ayoub H., 22, was handed a mobile phone. The two men loitered in the area and were seen making transactions with clients. Police intervened and discovered 40 packets of cannabis in the bag.

A search of Yassin B.’s home revealed 69 grams of marijuana in the living room.

Yassin B. received a sentence of two years in prison and a €12,000 fine. His associate, Soulaimane A., was given an 18-month suspended sentence. Meanwhile, Mohamed K. and Ayoub H., caught red-handed, were both sentenced to 15 months, also suspended.
