For the fourth consecutive year, the Office of the Prime Minister hosted a grand event at the Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels on Monday evening to mark the culmination of Belgium’s National Day celebrations, attracting over 100,000 attendees.
The 'Belgian Party' kicked off at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, featuring food trucks and drink stalls for early attendees.
From 6:00 p.m., the festivities continued with performances by local DJs and artistes, including Maksim, Axelle Red, Brussels-based rappers Roméo Elvis and Peet, Netsky, Lost Frequencies, and Red Sebastian.
The event included a multimedia spectacle with lasers and drones during sets by Netsky and Lost Frequencies. Organisers describe it as “the biggest show of its kind ever organised in Belgium,” featuring a dazzling display with 350 LED drones illuminating the Arc de Triomphe in the park, highlighting Belgium’s technological prowess.
The evening concluded with a fireworks display at around 11:00 p.m.
The show also included video highlights of notable achievements by Belgians over the past year, a retrospective on past national day celebrations, and behind-the-scenes footage of the event preparations.
Spectators at the park enjoyed the performance via large screens, while those unable to attend in person could watch live broadcasts on national TV channels VRT, RTBF, and BRF, as well as on TV5 Monde, or listen in on Vivacité radio.
