The Federal Judicial Police (FGP) in Antwerp have arrested two men, aged 26 and 28, from Malle and Wuustwezel, in connection with an investigation into an active drug lab in Geel.

At the end of June, police discovered a synthetic drug lab in an abandoned farm on Rendersvensedijk in Geel. Two Dutch nationals were arrested that evening.

The barn was packed with items including IBC containers, jerrycans, boxes, gas cylinders, four large kettles, and some smaller ones. The lab was used to produce amphetamines, and a significant quantity of precursors was stored there.

Following the initial arrests, the investigation continued. On Monday, searches at two locations led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Belgian from Malle and a 28-year-old Dutchman from Wuustwezel. The investigating judge has placed them under arrest. They are scheduled to appear before the council chamber in Turnhout on Friday.

The arrest of one of the two men apprehended in June was confirmed on Tuesday by the council chamber. The case involving the other man will also be addressed on Friday.
