Le Micro Festival is set to celebrate its 15th edition from 1 to 3 August in the Saint-Léonard district of Liège.

Remaining true to its independent spirit and alternative programming, the event is expected to welcome 2,500 festival-goers at the Espace 251 Nord venue, offering a wide range of musical styles.

The festival, organised without headliners or major sponsors, focuses on musical discovery, a welcoming atmosphere, and strong local roots. Over 50 artists from Belgium and beyond will perform on three stages— “Circus Stage,” “Oasis 3000,” and “Micro rêve”—from 14:00 until 1:50. The eclectic lineup spans from post-punk to experimental techno, free jazz, hip-hop, and rap.

Among the anticipated acts this year are the British band “Factory Floor,” the American experimental group “Deerhoof” with their latest album “Noble and Godlike in Ruin,” and the Anglo-German singer “Anika,” known for her raw and introspective style. Other performers include the Quebec trio “Suuns,” who played in Liège last year, and Brussels-based producer “Naomie Klaus.” The audience will also experience “Why the Eye?”, a masked Brussels quartet founded in 2013, performing Friday evening on the Oasis 3000 stage.

In addition to music, the Micro Festival offers a decidedly sustainable and participatory experience, featuring local beers, LED lighting, dry toilets, and substantial volunteer involvement.

As in previous years, Sunday will feature the unmissable Grand International Musical Chairs Tournament.
