Umbrellas will be needed throughout Friday, as gloomy weather is expected to persist into the weekend, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute’s daily bulletin.

Showers will move across Belgium from west to east on Friday, intensifying and possibly turning stormy. Rainfall will be heavier in the northern part of the country. A yellow warning is in effect until 7:00 PM in the province of Liège due to expected rain accumulation of 20 to 30 mm, potentially reaching 40 mm in hilly areas.

Under moderate west to northwest winds, temperatures will reach 16 degrees in the High Ardennes, 18 to 19 degrees along the coast, and 21 to 22 degrees in Flanders.

In the evening, rain will persist in the southeast, while clearer skies will return to other regions. Overnight, clouds and new showers will move in from the coast. Minimum temperatures will range from 10 to 17 degrees with moderate northwest to west winds.

The weekend will start with clouds and more showers, some potentially strong and stormy. Temperatures will drop to between 14 and 19 degrees, with persistent moderate winds from the west to northwest.

Sunny spells will return on Sunday morning, but rain will come back from the coast in the afternoon. Temperatures will vary between 17 and 21 degrees.
