Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will attend the meeting of European leaders in Brussels on Sunday. This was announced on Sunday by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Prime Minister Bart De Wever will also participate.

The videoconference meeting was quickly convened to discuss the outcome of the summit meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. "This afternoon, I welcome President Zelenskyy to Brussels," Von der Leyen wrote on X. "Together, we will participate in the videoconference of the Coalition of the Willing."

On Monday, the Commission President will travel to Washington with Zelenskyy – at his request – to participate in the meeting with US President Trump. "Other European leaders" will also join the meeting at the White House, according to Von der Leyen. This includes German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Finnish President Alexander Stubb. According to the Bloomberg agency, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will also travel to the US capital.
