Liège resident under drug influence gets arrested after attack on tram driver

An arrest warrant has been issued for the alleged attacker of a tram driver, who was arrested on Saturday evening in Liège, according to information released on Sunday afternoon by the Liège public prosecutor's office.

The man was born in 2004 and was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident, during which he damaged the tram driver's cab and injured the driver. The TEC agent is unable to work for three days.

The attack took place on Saturday evening shortly before 20:00 at the stop on Place du Général Leman, in the Guillemins district.

Two people intervened to defend the victim. The suspect, who was arrested by the police, was found in possession of one gram of cocaine.
