Intermarché Belgium is recalling a batch of smoked ham due to elevated levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), a substance that poses potential health risks.
The product in question is the “Jambon cru fumé de la Forêt Noire” (Black Forest Smoked Ham) from the Itinéraire des Saveurs brand. It was sold in Intermarché stores between 29 July and 4 August 2025.
Packaged in 100-gram packs, the affected item has a use-by date of 15 September 2025 and bears the batch number 25188031.
Customers are advised not to consume this product and to return it to the store to receive a full refund.
