President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has handed the keys to the Station Europe building on Place du Luxembourg to non-governmental organisation Promote Ukraine to aid the effort against Russian invading forces.

Ukrainian civil society can now access the space to coordinate anti-war efforts such as demonstrations and conferences as well as providing psychological and administrative help to refugees arriving in Belgium.

The European Parliament voiced its support for Ukraine: “We want to do everything in our power to support Ukrainians, whose courage has astounded us,” Metsola said. “Offering this space to the Ukrainian struggle is a concrete act of solidarity.”
