From Monday until the end of March, Belgium's postal service Bpost will make its offices available for the collection of essential goods meant for victims of the war in Ukraine, Belga News Agency reports.

According to the Belgian postal and e-trade logistics company, donations meant for Ukrainians affected by the humanitarian crisis in their country can be deposited at any of its 657 offices. The donations will be sorted before being driven by Bpost to the Ukrainian border, where they will be taken over and distributed by Ukrposhta, the Ukrainian national postal company.

This service is meant exclusively for essential goods that can be conserved for a long time at room temperature and food that can be consumed without being reheated. The donations will need to be well wrapped and not contain glass, bpost said. These containers should preferably be strong and unstamped, meaning they should not have sender labels.
