A moped rider who collided with a train at a level crossing in Hoboken on Monday has died in hospital due to his injuries, the Antwerp Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed.
The victim was an 18-year-old man.
The exact circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.
Initial findings suggest the victim may have ignored a closed barrier at the crossing.
