Sunday morning will be wet across central and eastern Belgium before brighter spells return nationwide later in the day, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute.
In the early hours, rain will mainly affect the south-east of the country, while the west and centre are expected to enjoy drier conditions with sunny intervals.
As the day goes on, conditions will become more mixed across the country, with spells of sunshine in low-lying areas and a few showers, particularly near the Dutch border.
Maximum temperatures will range from around 10°C in the High Fens to 14°C in the lowlands.
Winds will be moderate to fairly strong inland, with gusts of around 60 km/h and locally higher under showers. Along the coast, winds will be strong to very strong, with gusts reaching 70 to 80 km/h.
During the night, clearer spells will widen across northern Flanders.
By contrast, cloud will build near the French border and over the Ardennes high ground, where a few light showers may still occur.
Minimum temperatures will fall to between 4°C in the Ardennes and 11°C on the coast. Winds will gradually ease, becoming fairly strong by the sea and moderate elsewhere.
