Weather: Temperatures will soar up to 30° in Belgium next week

Temperatures have hovered at around 20 degrees in Belgium and will continue its steady course over the coming weekend. But next week, the temperature will start an upward trajectory from Monday 11 July where temperatures will go up to 25°, according to Belgium's Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI).

On Tuesday, the temperature will rise to 26° while Wednesday through Friday sees the heat climb to 27-28°.

On Saturday, the temperature will soar to 30° and keep surging to 31° on Sunday. Monday 18 July and Tuesday 19 July will remain warm at 28°.

Recommendations

Sunscreen is recommended as the UV rays from the sun are strong, even during mild temperatures. UV rays are at 6.7 on Wednesday on a scale from 1 to 10, in which 10 is considered extremely high.

Moreover, the warm temperatures will plague people afflicted with allergies, as the pollen count for grass is very high.

Drinking plenty of water is key to stay hydrated when the weather is hot.
