Thousands of Tomorrowland festivalgoers arrived on Thursday at the Dreamville campsite, for the first of three weekends of music, which begin on Friday.

They were able to enjoy the first DJ-sets positioned there as a prelude to the annual electronic dance music festival itself, after the morning crowd led organisers to open the doors of the campsite earlier than planned.

Other festivalgoers first went to the centre of Antwerp to party at the Grote Markt, where DJs welcomed international visitors.

Tomorrowland has been exceptionally authorised this year to offer three party weekends, to compensate as much as possible for the revenue lost due to measures taken to stem the coronavirus pandemic over the past two years.

As usual, the festival is sold out. The some 600,000 visitors expected will be able to enjoy the sounds of Armin Van Buuren, Major Lazer, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Marshmello and Martin Garrix.
