The tracks have been cleared in Saint-Trond, enabling train traffic between Landen and Hasselt to resume, railway network manager Infrabel said on Wednesday evening.
However, SNCB warned on its website that delays were still possible.
Rail traffic had been disrupted since around 2:30 p.m., after a train collided with a person.
Where possible, trains have been diverted to Diest and Aarschot, SNCB said.
