Some 4,000 people have gone to a pharmacy to receive their 4th dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Wallonia since the start of the new vaccination campaign, the specialised site Pharma-Sphère reports.

Citing figures from 22 September by the office of Christie Morreale, the Walloon Minister of Health, around 179,000 people have received their 4th dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Wallonia.

In total, 180,622 vaccines have been administered since 12 September, the launch date of the new campaign.

Walloons are also able the 1st, 2nd and 3rd doses. Among the new figures, around 1,600 people have received a third dose.

Some 200 pharmacies are taking part in this new campaign, which has so far vaccinated around 4,000 people, is a relatively higher number than general practitioners who have 'only' vaccinated 2,696 people.

The 22 Walloon vaccination centres, for their part, were widely acclaimed, since 167,000 doses were administered there.
