The Tihange 3 nuclear plant will not be restarted on Wednesday as planned, the operator, Engie, said on Tuesday.
Engie is now planning to resume operations at the plant on 15 October.
Tihange 3, one of three reactors in Belgium with a capacity of more than 1,000 megawatts, shut down unexpectedly on Monday. The stoppage was due to a drop in pressure at one of the generators, Engie said.
Technical analyses are still being conducted, according to Engie, which said several additional maintenance operations would be carried out in the days to come.
