As the investigation into the death of 4-year-old Dean Verberckmoes continues, preparations for the reconstruction of events in the East Flemish Sint-Gillis-Waas started on Friday morning.

The council of Sint-Gillis-Waas reports that the area around the apartment of the suspects Dave De Kock and Romy W. has been closed since 06:00.

The reconstruction will take place in the building on Kerkstraat where 35-year-old Belgian Dave De Kock and his 25-year-old Dutch girlfriend Romy W. lived.

Reconstructions of crime scenes are defined as the processes of determining the sequence of events concerning what occurred during and after a crime.

The 4-year-old victim stayed with the couple overnight on Wednesday 12 January, the day on which De Kock and Dean Verberckmoes were last seen.
