The Flemish government has decided that ministers will not have their wages indexed "for a while."

In concrete terms, ministers will miss out on four consecutive pivot index overruns, amounting to an 8% cut.

Earlier, the Federal and Walloon governments already decided to cut ministerial wages.

“Everyone is having a hard time in this crisis. That is why, as ministers, we are making this solidarity contribution, whereby we will not adjust our wages to the index four times,” said Flemish Prime Minister Jan Jambon.
