'Unmasked' is the theme of the 16th edition of Filem’On, the international film festival for young audiences, which kicked off on Wednesday in Brussels.

This year, detectives, mysteries and investigations are at the centre of the dozens of international films for children aged 2 to 16 to be screened until 5 November in venues such as Bozar, Cinema Palace, Les Galeries, Aventure and Train World.

There are also Belgian films on the bill, such as 'Yuku and the Himalayan Flower,' which tells the story of a young mouse who wants to become a storyteller like her grandmother. To do so, she has to find the eternally luminous flower of the Himalayas.

Actor Armin Mola is the official ambassador of this edition of  Filem’On. Known for the Flemish series “Hoodie” and “Vloglabs,” he will share his experience with young people in several theatre workshops.
