Kinepolis welcomed 7.4 million visitors in the third quarter, a 74.3% increase compared to the same quarter of 2019 pre-Covid, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
This resulted in a turnover of 90.1% compared to the same quarter in 2019.
While the recovery in attendance in the first half of the year was promising, the company said, it then “suffered from a lower supply of films during a very hot summer.”
Despite this slower-than-expected recovery in visitor numbers, Kinepolis has continued to bank solid earnings – and operating cash flow in the third quarter.
