Yassine M., the man who stabbed a police officer to death and injured another last week in Schaerbeek, will remain in detention for another month, the Brussels council chamber decided on Thursday.
The decision was communicated by the office of the federal prosecutor.
Yassine N., who was on the watchlist of the Coordination Unit for Threat Analysis, OCAM, before he perpetrated the attack, was placed under arrest for murder and attempted murder in a terrorist context.
His lawyer did not wish to comment.
