Over 1,900 job vacancies are available on the French-speaking Forem job portal for positions in the hotel and catering, tourism, trade, transport, and logistics sectors, all of which are experiencing a surge in activity at the end of this year, the Walloon employment office announced on Monday.
The end-of-year holiday season is traditionally extremely busy for these sectors. Forem has 813 job positions offered by catering and tourism companies, 378 for trade (cashiers, salespersons), and 805 in transport and logistics (drivers, delivery workers, etc).
“Beyond this festive period, the catering, tourism, retail, and transport and logistics sectors remain sectors that we are looking for staff throughout the year,” Forem highlights.

As well as job opportunities, the Walloon employment office offers training courses. In total there are 352 available courses to help prepare jobseekers for employment.
