Ryanair's cabin crew met on Saturday to discuss this weekend's strikes at Charleroi Airport. Following the meeting, they announced that if an agreement with management was not reached by the end of January, they would be going on strike for two days per month.
Following a string of strike actions by Ryanair staff towards the end of last year, most would have hoped that a solution would be found with the airline's management to prevent further flight disruptions in the new year.
However, this does not seem to be case as around 100 flights have been cancelled at Charleroi Airport with airline staff having once again gone on strike over poor working conditions and low wages.
Furthermore, around 200 of Ryanair’s cabin crew held a general meeting on Saturday morning, during which they discussed the airline’s lack of response to their demands. This is despite the company recently indicating that they wished to be even more profitable in 2023.

As a result, the striking staff issued an ultimatum to the airline's management: if no solution was found by the end of January, especially with regards to minimum wage for employees, they would observe two days of strike per month until an agreement is reached.
”It is time for management to come back with a proposal,” Didier Lebbe, permanent secretary of the CNE trade union, said of the ultimatum. "And if necessary, the staff is extremely determined to step up their strike actions," he concluded.
