At 22:00, the emergency services indicated that they were dealing with a fire affecting several dozen garages.
The origin of the fire is not yet known. The smoke was particularly bitter in the area "because of the contents of the garages", explained a fireman, "it's not just cars and their fuel, there's also furniture, tyres and anything else that people might pile up."
