No trains have been running between Hasselt and Tongeren on Thursday night due to cable theft, railroad network manager Infrabel reported.

Train traffic between the two Flemish towns stopped from just before 10 pm, Infrabel said.

The utility stated that its technical crews would repair the damage as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the national railway company has been running replacement buses.
