A bomb attack took place overnight in the early hours of Saturday against an apartment building in the municipality of Borsbeek, near Antwerp, local police report.
The explosion, which occurred on De Robianostraat at around 04:00, damaged the front door of a building and some interior doors. No casualties have been reported.
The demining service of the Belgian army (Sedee) and a police laboratory are currently at the scene of the crime.
An investigation is underway to determine whether the attack is linked to organised drug gangs. In recent years, there has been a wave of grenade attacks against buildings in Antwerp in connection to organised drug trafficking.
One street in Antwerp has been hit by grenade attacks more than eight times since 2019.
