Two bombs exploded outside a hairdressing salon in Ghent in the early hours of Monday morning, Le Soir reports.
Surveillance footage reportedly shows a man setting a box on fire before fleeing the scene. A second explosion was heard moments after an initial blast.
The attack reportedly took place at around 02:50, with the blast smashing the window of the hairdressing salon.
The building opposite the salon was also damaged. After the first explosion, a second bigger one was heard moments later.
"It seems that the bomb was deliberately placed in front of the hairdresser's," local residents said.
The police arrived at the scene and the area was closed off for several hours. The Public Prosecutor's Office is now in charge of the investigation.
